Incontinence underpants for men
can be washed at 60 degrees several times. We recommend neutral washing powder. They can be tumble dried, although will keep the shape for longer if not. The pants are made from 92% cotton and 8% elastane. The absorbing part of the pants is made from 100% cotton. The absorbing layer is anti-bacterial and breathable. The incontinence underpants does not contain any harmful substances and are certified with Oeko-Tex 100 Standard Class 1.
This incontinence underwear is suitable for light daytime use, able to absorb a minor accident or two. These underpants are designed to look indistinguishable from regular underwear, with a focus on maximum absorbency without visibly showing the absorbent layer. Unlike diapers, these pants don't have a waterproof membrane but are breathable and noise-free. They are tailored to look like regular underwear, without a fly.
The underpants have been developed in various colors and designs to make wet spots as invisible as possible. They ensure that you don't have to worry about minor accidents becoming visible to others. This means there's no need to stay at home instead of participating in social events with other people. The underpants provide a sense of security.
The underpants are not suitable for fecal incontinence.
The elastic in the men's models shrinks about 0.5-1 cm in the wash.
Why do men suffer from daytime incontinence?
There can be many reasons why men may have difficulty controlling their bladder. Types include stress incontinence (inability to hold urine when exerting oneself, e.g., when jumping or sneezing), urge incontinence (sudden, intense urge to urinate), and post-void dribbling (the urethra does not empty completely during urination, causing urine to leak out when changing position). Incontinence can be caused by urinary tract infections, an enlarged prostate, post-surgical effects, or dementia, among other things. It is important to speak with your GP to determine the exact cause so that the incontinence issue can be resolved or minimised.
What can be done to minimise the incontinence problem?
Depending on the cause of the incontinence, there are several options to alleviate the problem. These may include medication, pelvic floor exercises, lifestyle changes, or surgery. A doctor should help determine the best course of action.
