The incontinence knickers have a waterproof protection layer made of polyurethane, along with an absorbent layer that can hold approximately 80 ml.
These knickers are also suitable as additional protection during menstruation but are not designed for faecal incontinence.

Why do women suffer from daytime incontinence?
Incontinence in women is a common but often taboo subject with many potential causes. The most widespread cause is the weakening of pelvic floor muscles, which can occur due to pregnancy, childbirth, menopause, or age-related changes in the body. When the pelvic floor no longer adequately supports the bladder, it can lead to urine leakage, especially during physical activities like coughing, sneezing, lifting, or exercising – this is known as stress incontinence. Another frequent type of incontinence is urge incontinence, where women experience a sudden and intense urge to urinate, which can be difficult to control. This condition may be caused by an overactive bladder, where the bladder wall muscles contract at inappropriate times. Additionally, urinary tract infections, hormonal changes during menopause, and certain neurological disorders like multiple sclerosis or Parkinson’s disease can contribute to daytime incontinence.
How can daytime incontinence problems be minimised?
Incontinence can often be alleviated or treated with the right approach. Pelvic floor exercises are an effective method to strengthen the muscles that support the bladder. Medical treatments, lifestyle changes such as weight loss or reduced caffeine intake, and surgical interventions for more severe cases are also available. It is essential to consult a doctor to find the right solution. Although incontinence can be challenging, there are many aids such as absorbent knickers and hygiene products that enable women to maintain their confidence and continue their daily activities without worry. These knickers from Suprima help women with light incontinence to continue their active daily lives.
